Central Standard Brewing

Located in Wichita’s Douglas Design District, Central Standard Brewing represents Studium’s commitment to architecture rooted in place. We provided architectural design for this 4,000 sf brewery renovation, transforming an old warehouse into a laid-back "living room" environment with a "loft apartment" vibe. Key features include an indoor-outdoor connection via large garage doors, vintage light fixtures, and a unique boomerang-shaped zinc bar designed to foster social interaction. Beyond design, we navigated complex zoning for its location near Hyde Park, providing 3D renderings and representation at advisory board meetings to secure conditional use permits. This project exemplifies our ability to deliver high-impact commercial architecture through adaptive reuse and deep client collaboration.
